Yoga and somatic practices help teens strengthen social and emotional literacy and gain healthy coping skills to combat depression and anxiety. Ivy uses the yoga mat as a vehicle to teach topics of self awareness and emotional regulation.
Clients move through experiential sessions with compassion, confidence, and curiosity. Each session is structured similarly, to provide predictability. With every session, clients learn at least one grounding technique, one breathing technique, experience a guided visualization, poses that are designed to tap into the parasympathetic nervous system (connection and safety) and themes that foster emotional literacy.
The goal of these sessions is for the client to adopt daily practices that can benefit them for the rest of their life.
School teaches them academics and the world teaches them how to self advocate. Now let them learn how to take a breath, how to pause before responding to their environment, and how to find lasting ease and joy.
Contact Ivy for more details on how these one on one sessions can be customized specifically for your teen.
